Slaughter Floor

We are seeking experienced Slaughter Floor Butchers to join our team. Join our skilled team in skinning, trimming and inspecting carcasses. Our butchers process 40- 50 carcasses of beef and buffalo per day.  Our schedule allows for a healthy work-life balance. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 7am to 3:30pm.

  • A good attitude towards continuous improvements of food safety systems
  • The desire and ability to follow general food safety practices (GMP’s, HACCP, SQF)

 Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate and understand instructions and possess good eye-hand coordination and dexterity.  This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, twisting, and climbing frequently. It also requires the use of hands and arms constantly for: pinching, simple gripping, grasping, push/pull with hands, and operating a vibrating tool frequently.  The employee must frequently lift and/or move items 60 to 100 pounds and reach above shoulders occasionally.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving carcass on a rail system, various degree room temperature, and wet floor.  The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
